The DELL Inspiron 1520 is an Intel based laptop, and has two batteries available – a 6 cell and a 9 cell.
The 6-cell battery fits neatly into the laptop, the 9-cell battery is a little bigger and sticks out the back of the laptop but DOES give you considerably more battery life.
A new battery for your Inspiron 1520 should run between $35 and $45.
To replace it:
- Turn your laptop upside down.
- Push the two clips located near the battery outwards.
- The battery should slide out.
- Just slide your new battery straight in.
